PORT ALICE

The Village of Port Alice is is located on northern Vancouver Island, a picturesque community built on a mountainside with excellent views of Neroutsos.

It is accessed via a scenic drive on a newly paved road, approximately 53 km (33 miles) south-west of Port Hardy and 54 km (34 miles) north-west of Port McNeill.

The community known as a “Gateway to the Wild West Coast”.

Named after Alice Whalen, the founders’ mother. The brothers Whalen began their construction of the mill at its present site in 1917, with first pulp produced in 1918.
